Relines

Relines

A loose denture makes it harder to chew and may cause infections, irritation, or sores in your mouth.  If your denture is loose, especially after recent extractions, you may need a temporary soft reline.  A soft reline is done in the office (called a "chair site reline").  The soft material used to make this reline helps keep the denture close and comfortable.  It is removed when a laboratory reline is needed.

A laboratory reline, also called a hard, permanent reline, is made with the same type of material used to make a denture.  This procedure takes more time, but it can be completed in our on-site lab on the same day.  A reline does not change the appearance of your dentures, just the fit of them.
